1. Turn on the TouchBOX and other hardware components
First of all switch on the TouchBOX at your „Quality Control“.
On the TouchBOX V4 you will find a switch for this on the bottom side. It may take a few seconds to boot up the TouchBOX. |

2. Logging in to the TouchBOX with your employee ID card
After switching on your TouchBOX, the login interface appears first. You should already have created a staff card. If this is not already the case, your production supervisor can create it for you.
Hold the QR Code of your card below the scanner to log in. This is absolutely necessary. Each employee must always log in at the station where they work.
You can find the instructions for managing employees in your production here:
Manage Employees - Printing the Employee Card
3. Perform Quality Control
Scan the ID Tag and you will get an overview of the finished textile.
In the left area of the TouchBOX you can see all four views (front, back, left and right) of the textile including the finishes. On the right side you have again the information about the article, like name, color and size. Right below you can see the print and/or embroidery files that must be on the textile.
Now check the article for completeness and quality of the designs and decide if the quality control has been passed or failed.
Message on the TouchBOX: There are still open prints / embroideries
If one of these messages appears, a refinement step was not carried out at all or was not completed correctly at the respective station. In this case the textile must be returned to this station.
4.Special Case Single Item
If the order consists of only one part, this will be indicated directly at the quality control and you know that this part can skip the station „order sorting“. This part can now be forwarded directly to the shipping station.
5. Quality Control failed or passed
If the quality of the finishing is not adequate or if there are designs in the wrong position, press the button „Quality Control failed“ and hand the textile with ID tag to your production manager.
Tip: Collect the failed pieces in a box right next to the quality control. Your production manager or supervisor will then have the opportunity to re-scan the garments and, at his discretion, let them pass the quality control.
Assures the quality of the finishes and everything was produced correctly use tap on the button „Quality control passed“. Pass the textile to the next station „Order Sorting“ and you can immediately continue with the next part.
6. Quality Control passed & order sorting
If you don‘t have your own station or TouchBOX for order sorting in your Smake production, you can also solve the sorting directly via the station Quality Control. If the quality control is passed according to the guidelines of your production and it is not an individual part, you can click on the button „Passed and order sorting“. Now you will see the number of the box in which you have to put the textile. Afterwards you can continue with the next ID Tag.
